This is a unique pair of 1920/30’s heavy duty Austrian original ‘ Marke Arlberg ‘ leather cross-Country Ski Boots .
The Village of Marke Arlberg in Austria is considered to be the birthplace of Telemark and Cross-Country Skiing , and for the manufacture of ski equipment like these boots .
The Inner label has ‘Ewatch Bludenz’ stitched into it , with a colour stitching of the scenic Arlberg Mountains above .
The size is probably around a Man’s size 9 , and the boots are 12″ long , and made with double layers of tough lace-up leather that has survived all the years very well , considering their age .
These rugged Boots tell a great deal about the huge changes in ski boot technology over the past 100 years .
They come with their original 1930’s adjustable wooden Shoe Trees for after ski support , and are therefore very unique as well .
